About Sean Cameron

Sean Cameron ARPS has been taking photographs since he was five years old, when his Grandmother bought him a 'Kodak Instamatic' and put him in charge of the family holiday snaps. Working and living with various animals all his life has given Sean the opportunity to take Show jumping, Dressage and Dog Agility action photos, plus pet portraits - feathered, furry and reptilian.

A few of us remember the days of photographic film, Sean certainly does! His first photography jobs were at horse jumping shows and cross-country events back in the 1980's. Before concentrating on his favourite subject, dogs, Sean was a music photographer for some of the top magazines, working at countless concerts and festivals around the country.  He was also a popular photographer for stage, theatrical and musical productions across the south.

 

Away from the day job Sean became widely recognised as an accomplished wildlife photographer too, enjoying many trips to the remote Scottish Highlands and Islands and various corners of northern Europe to capture stunning images of the native eagles, deer, red squirrels, foxes and puffins. Sean is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society, and has written a book about his journey towards this qualification. He has had two prints considered for the Royal Society's National Exhibition.

Sean is a top quality photographer and one of the few full-time professional photographers on the Dog Agility circuit. His credentials are impressive, the last few years alone he has been:

Working with most of the top Agility trainers in the country, Sean is a regular at training camps and training days as well as being the official photographer at over 25 Agility events last year including six Championship shows.

Sean is also skilled in natural light and studio portraiture and somehow manages to fit some bespoke and commisioned work into his busy diary, even a few wedding appointments, too!
